Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally valid signature?

It adds a picture of your signature to the PDF. Whether a picture of a signature is accepted depends on the person or office asking for it and on the rules where you live. Some uses need a certified digital signature, which this tool does not create, so check what they accept.

Can I sign with my finger on a phone?

Yes. Open the Draw tab and write in the box. The line is smoothed so it looks natural. You can undo the last stroke or clear it and start again.

Can I add initials, a date or sign several pages?

Yes. Place as many items as you like on any page. Initials and a date are optional extras you can add in the same way and move or resize like your signature.

How do I move and resize my signature?

Drag it to move it. Drag the round handle on the corner, or pinch with two fingers, to change its size. On a computer you can also use the arrow keys, plus and minus.

Can the signature be taken off later?

The signature becomes part of the page, not a form field. Still, any PDF editor can cover or edit a page, so treat it as a visual mark and not as protection.

Is my PDF or signature uploaded?

No. Your PDF, your signature and the finished file stay in your browser on your device.
