Add page numbers to a PDF
Number the pages of a PDF. Pick where the number goes, the first number and the style.
Files never leave your device
Write {n} where the page number goes and {total} for the last number. Hindi, Malayalam and Arabic are supported: they are added as a picture so they look right.
The number follows the page position, so with the first page skipped, page 2 shows the start number plus 1. To show 1 on page 2, set the start number to 0.

Frequently asked questions
Can I start from a number other than 1?
Yes. Set any start number. This helps when your PDF continues a longer document.
Can I skip the first page?
Yes. Tick "Do not number the first page" and the cover page stays clean.
Which styles are available?
Plain number (3), "Page 3", "3 of 10", or your own text such as "Seite {n} von {total}". You can also show the numbers in Devanagari (Hindi), Malayalam or Arabic-Indic digits.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The numbers are added in your browser.
Will it change my pages?
Only by adding the number. The rest of every page stays the same.
