Privacy policy

PaperPDF is built so that your files stay with you. This page explains in plain words what happens to your files and what small pieces of data the site does and does not use.

Your files

When you use a tool, your PDFs and images are opened and changed inside your own browser, using your device's memory and processor. They are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. We never see them, store them or copy them. When you close or reload the page, they are gone from the page.

You can check this yourself: open your browser's network panel while using a tool and you will see that no file data is sent anywhere.

The Share button on a finished file opens your phone's own share menu: the file goes straight from your device to the app you choose (WhatsApp, Gmail and so on), and PaperPDF never receives it.

What the site stores on your device

• Theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser so the site remembers it.
• Offline cache: the site may save its own pages and code in your browser so the tools keep working without internet. This never contains your files.

Feedback you choose to send

Each page has a small "Did this work?" box. It is private: what you write is never shown on the site. It only sends something if you tap Send. If you do, we receive and store:

• the page you were on (for example /merge-pdf) and the tool name,
• your 👍 or 👎, the type of message (problem, improvement or new-tool idea) and the text you wrote (up to 1,000 characters),
• your email address, only if you type one because you want a reply,
• the site version, whether you used a phone, tablet or computer (worked out from the screen size, not from your browser details), and the time.

We use it to fix problems and decide what to build next. Your files are never sent, and we do not store your IP address or your browser's identification text. To stop spam the box uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads only when you open the form and may check your browser to tell people from bots; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Feedback is kept in a private database. To have your message deleted, write to hello@getpaperpdf.com with the page, the date and, if you gave one, your email address.

Analytics and tracking

The site does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising scripts at the moment. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Hosting

The site is delivered as static files by a hosting provider. Like any web host, the provider may keep basic technical logs of visits, such as IP address, browser type and requested page, for security and operations. These logs do not include your files.

Advertising

There are no ads on the site right now. If ads are added later, this page will explain what they use and ask for your consent first.

Children

The site is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
